About Us

National Phlebotomy Containing Education Organization is a voluntary, non-governmental, NPCE was established to distinguish phlebotomists who have attained a standard of knowledge through structured programs or work experience. NPCE is committed to meeting the shifting and dynamic needs of the phlebotomy industry by offering examinations to practitioners to validate their phlebotomy skills.

NPCE was formed in reply to a growing trend of phlebotomists not having access to proper continuing education materials.  NPCE has done extensive work with universities, colleges, authors, and phlebotomists developing a program for continuing education which will be an invaluable resource to the phlebotomy industry.

At NPCE we feel that the best continuing education and refresher course can only be created and taught by the actual educators who produced the learning material to become a certified phlebotomist.  NPCE has partnered up with nationally recognized professors as well as phlebotomists to produce training materials, study guides, as well as continuing education tests for current certified phlebotomists.

Our mission at NCPE is to enhance the professional stature and employability of our clients through credentials. We do this by offering national certifications that assess candidate
knowledge and skills through examination; by providing accessible, cost effective, and relevant continuing education.

NPCE informs phlebotomists about changes in phlebotomy, career opportunities, seminars, safety alerts, and continuing education through its newsletter published once a month.

The NPCE advisory board consists of phlebotomy professionals who periodically review certification requirements and examinations to assure uniform enforcement. The competency based examinations are written and peer reviewed by practicing healthcare professionals and educators to assure comprehensiveness and validity.
